Cage the Elephant is an indie rock band from Kentucky, which formed in 2006. Following the success of the band's first two albums, Cage the Elephant and Thank You, Happy Birthday, the band released their best album Melophobia ("fear of music") in the Fall of 2013. Melophobia was very well received upon its release. The album debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 albums chart during its first week. There weren't really any negative reviews from critics for the album, just comments expecting the style to be more similar to their prior albums. The album has some real gems on it. "Cigarette Daydreams" is an exceptional track, giving off an early Arctic Monkeys vibe. It is a refreshing track which fits very nicely as the final song of the album. The track "Come a Little Closer" is their hit single on the album, with a musical styling akin to the band Why?. The song is rich with a provocative attitude, leaving the listener with a range of various emotions. Melophobia received a Grammy Award nomination in 2015 for Best Alternative Music Album, a notable achievement. Melophobia is Cage the Elephant's break out album and arguably their best.
